What do PremedHQ students from New Jersey have to say?

My coach is wonderful, and is someone who truly cares about his student’s success. His ability to understand my experiences and perspectives and help me realize how to put my thoughts into words is unparalleled. Essay-writing is clearly one of my coach’s strengths, and he was able to help me articulate my views so that I could write a coherent, compelling essay. The interview preparation process was also aided by PremedHQ’s coaching and mock interviews with several of the PremedHQ staff. By having several mock phone-call interviews with different interviewers each time over the course of a month, I was really prepared come interview day, and several of the questions the mock-interviewers asked made a reappearance during the actual interview! The coaches and staff are not afraid to give real, constructive feedback, and obtaining advice and tips from a diverse group of interviewers gave me a more well-rounded picture of what I needed to work on. Overall, PremedHQ has given me invaluable advice and guidance throughout the application and interview process, and I am incredibly grateful for their services.”

“PremedHQ has been exceptional at mentoring me throughout the application process. From the start, it was beneficial learning how to write about my experiences, as this helped me with my essays later on. My coach gave great writing advice and help, and I believe that I truly improved my writing through drafting and editing supplementary essays. This improvement not only showed itself in college applications, but in school as well. The revision process was especially beneficial, as I learned to critically assess my writing, and make meaningful edits. In addition, through writing these essays and reading through the recommended reading, I believe that I found a greater understanding of the medical profession, especially as I read When Breath Becomes Air (a recommendation from PremedHQ’s team). Furthermore, PremedHQ certainly prepared me well for the interview process. I believe that I became a confident speaker thanks to the hours spent practicing the sample questions, and receiving thorough feedback. From the coaches, I learned how to craft my answer carefully and clearly, and prevent nervousness from allowing my true self to come out during the interview. Overall, PremedHQ has been truly helpful and essential to achieving my program admission, and I am truly thankful to have had their service.”

“My coach is amazing!!!! He really helped me understand the medical profession prior to starting the application process by discussing my previous and current health-related extracurricular activities. One of the biggest aspects of growth I've experienced while working with my coach is in regards to my writing. We worked in a cycle where I sent him drafts and he gave feedback and examples which I found to be helpful and efficient. We were constantly working on writing (even before the application process began.)

As I enrolled in PremedHQ, I was most nervous about the interview process for BS/MD programs. While preparing for interviews, I received insightful feedback which allowed me to feel comfortable and confident when interviewing with Cooper Medical School. I also appreciate that PremedHQ's approach wasn't rigid. It allowed me to understand which aspects of my application needed more attention. A big thank you to everyone on the PremedHQ team!!!!”
